Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Exhibition Set-up Hand to join our national projects team. This role is crucial to the successful delivery of our high-quality exhibition stands across the UK. You will be responsible for the assembly, dismantling, and safe transportation of exhibition equipment, ensuring every project is executed to Nimlok’s rigorous standards. This position involves significant travel across the country, offering an exciting opportunity to work in diverse locations and environments. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently assemble and dismantle exhibition stands and displays according to design specifications and deadlines.
- Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring secure transportation and minimizing damage.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of exhibition equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations on-site and during transit.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, project managers, and on-site event staff.
- Represent Nimlok professionally at all times, maintaining high standards of conduct and workmanship.
- Conduct quality checks on completed installations to ensure they meet client expectations and company standards.
- Manage and organize tools and equipment required for each project.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and prolonged standing.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently when required.
- Flexibility to travel nationally and work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to adapt to changing on-site conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in exhibition setup, construction, or a similar manual role.
- Full UK Driving Licence (clean record preferred).
- Certification in manual handling or working at height.
- Experience operating basic power tools and hand tools.
- First Aid certification.
