Job Description
As a VIP Airport Expeditor for Blacklane, you will be the face of our premium service at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in Richmond, BC. This dynamic role requires a highly organized, proactive, and customer-focused individual to ensure our VIP clients experience flawless transitions from air to ground transportation. You will be responsible for meeting and greeting clients, assisting with luggage, coordinating with our chauffeur network, and providing real-time support to guarantee an unparalleled travel experience. This is a fast-paced environment demanding quick thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet VIP clients warmly and professionally upon arrival at the airport, often airside or at designated meeting points.
- Provide expert assistance with luggage handling and retrieval, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Liaise effectively with Blacklane chauffeurs to confirm arrival times, vehicle readiness, and client handover.
- Monitor flight schedules and adjust coordination plans in real-time for delays, early arrivals, or gate changes.
- Maintain constant communication with Blacklane's operations team to report progress and resolve any issues promptly.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively address any concerns to ensure a stress-free experience.
- Ensure all clients depart in the correct vehicle with the assigned chauffeur.
- Represent Blacklane with the utmost professionalism, upholding our brand's reputation for excellence.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in an airport or luxury service setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency with smartphone applications and basic computer skills.
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's License (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Must be eligible to work at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), including obtaining necessary security clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the luxury transportation, airline, or hotel industry.
- Fluency in additional languages is a significant asset (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi).
- Familiarity with Vancouver International Airport (YVR) layout and operations.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
