Job Description
We are seeking a warm, responsible, and energetic individual to join a local family in Greeley as a Part-time Weekend After-School Sitter. This role is perfect for someone passionate about working with children, providing a safe and engaging environment, and becoming a trusted part of a family’s routine. You will be responsible for supervising children after their weekend activities, helping with homework, preparing light snacks, and engaging them in fun, age-appropriate activities. This position requires reliability, a nurturing approach, and a genuine interest in supporting children’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and safe supervision for children during weekend after-school hours.
- Assist with homework and school projects as needed.
- Plan and engage children in age-appropriate games, crafts, and outdoor activities.
- Prepare light snacks and simple meals.
- Maintain a tidy and organized play area.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's activities and well-being.
- Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience caring for children (informal or formal).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to manage multiple children effectively.
- Basic first aid knowledge or willingness to obtain.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Prior experience as a nanny, babysitter, or childcare assistant.
- References from previous childcare roles.
- Clean driving record and access to reliable transportation.
