Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous Clinical Data Clerk to join our dynamic team. This critical role involves managing and maintaining clinical research data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards. As a Clinical Data Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting clinical trials and studies by accurately inputting, verifying, and reconciling data. This is a remote position, offering flexibility while maintaining high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of clinical information into various databases and systems.
  • Conduct data validation, review, and query resolution to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of clinical data from multiple sources.
  • Generate routine reports and summaries as required by study protocols or management.
  • Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient and clinical data.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical research coordinators, data managers, and other team members.
  • Identify and report discrepancies or issues related to data capture and processing.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in data entry and database management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical research processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or certificate in Health Information Management, Medical Office Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience (1+ years) in clinical data entry, data management, or a similar role within a healthcare or research setting.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems or Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS).
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is considered a strong asset.
  • Understanding of clinical trial phases and data flow.
