Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shopify Expert to join our dynamic e-commerce team. This pivotal role will focus on driving our international expansion strategies and optimizing our multi-currency capabilities on the Shopify platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of Shopify, a strong understanding of global e-commerce best practices, and a proven track record of implementing complex internationalization projects. You will be instrumental in configuring new markets, integrating third-party tools for localization, and ensuring a seamless multi-currency shopping experience for our growing international customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of international e-commerce initiatives on Shopify Plus.
- Configure and manage Shopify markets, multi-currency settings, and international shipping zones.
- Integrate and manage localization apps and tools for translated content, localized pricing, and regional payment gateways.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align e-commerce strategies with international business objectives.
- Perform theme customizations using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support internationalization efforts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to multi-currency display, checkout, and order processing for international customers.
- Conduct thorough testing of new features, updates, and integrations to ensure functionality and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, e-commerce trends, and best practices for international expansion.
- Document processes, configurations, and technical specifications for future reference and team training.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify Plus, including advanced administrative and development tasks.
- Proven experience with international e-commerce expansion, including setting up Shopify Markets or similar multi-store environments.
- Expertise in configuring and managing multi-currency setups, including currency conversion, display, and payment gateway integration.
- Proficiency in Liquid templating language, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for Shopify theme customization.
- Strong understanding of third-party Shopify app integrations for localization, shipping, taxes, and payments.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and webhook integration for e-commerce systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related field.
- Shopify Partner Certification or relevant e-commerce certifications.
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms or ERP integrations.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for international markets.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
