Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Shopify Conversion Rate Expert (CRO) to join our dynamic team. In this data-centric role, you will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and executing strategies to optimize the conversion funnel for our diverse portfolio of Shopify clients. You will leverage analytics, user testing, and A/B testing methodologies to drive measurable improvements in key performance indicators such as conversion rate, average order value, and customer lifetime value. This role demands a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices, user psychology, and a proven track record of increasing revenue through CRO initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of client Shopify stores to identify conversion roadblocks and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement A/B testing strategies for website elements, user flows, and marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze website analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics) to uncover user behavior patterns and insights.
  • Design and execute user research, including heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, and usability tests.
  • Translate data findings into actionable recommendations for design, development, and content teams.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to ensure CRO recommendations are effectively implemented.
  • Monitor, report, and present on the performance of CRO initiatives to internal teams and clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest CRO trends, tools, and best practices, particularly within the Shopify ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and roadmap for client e-commerce growth.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of dedicated experience in Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), specifically within the Shopify platform.
  • Proficiency with A/B testing tools (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize).
  • Expertise in web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Universal Analytics).
  • Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and information architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating strategies to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with heatmapping and session recording tools (e.g., Hotjar, Crazy Egg).
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Certifications in Google Analytics or other CRO-related disciplines.
  • Experience with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, BigCommerce).
  • Familiarity with front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand implementation feasibility.
  • Agency experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
