Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric Online Member Service Representative to join our dynamic team. This is a crucial remote role, where you will be the first point of contact for our members, providing exceptional service and support through various digital channels. You will assist members with their inquiries, resolve issues, process transactions, and provide information about our products and services, all from the comfort of your home office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of financial products, and a passion for helping others.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries via phone, email, chat, and other digital platforms.
- Provide accurate information regarding credit union products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Assist members with account maintenance, transaction processing, and online banking support.
- Identify member needs and cross-sell appropriate credit union products and services.
- Resolve member issues and complaints efficiently and effectively, escalating when necessary.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of member interactions and transactions.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance standards and internal credit union policies.
- Actively participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a financial institution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and de-escalation abilities.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and navigating multiple software applications simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with credit union specific software (e.g., Symitar, Fiserv).
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
