Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and cashing checks.
- Identify customer needs and cross-sell appropriate bank products and services, such as new accounts, loans, and credit cards.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, resolving inquiries and issues with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Balance cash drawer daily, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Educate customers on self-service options and digital banking tools.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and foster a positive working environment.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bank teller or similar cash-handling role in a financial institution.
- Proven track record of accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to identify customer needs and confidently refer banking products.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with banking software and standard office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience with complex banking transactions and problem resolution.
- Familiarity with local market demographics and community involvement.
