Job Description
Join UCHealth as a Mobile Clinic Driver for our Healthcare Outreach program in Aurora, Colorado. This is a unique hybrid role where you’ll combine essential on-site driving and clinic support with work-from-home administrative tasks. You will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our mobile clinic vehicle, transporting medical teams and equipment to various community locations to deliver vital healthcare services. Your dedication will directly impact underserved populations by ensuring access to care.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a mobile clinic vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Transport medical staff, equipment, and supplies to various community outreach locations.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the mobile clinic at each site.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance checks, reporting any issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide basic logistical support during outreach events, including patient flow management and inventory assistance.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Adhere to all UCHealth policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, community partners, and patients.
Required Skills
- Valid Class D or equivalent driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably with larger vehicles (e.g., vans, small buses).
- Excellent navigation and time management skills to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Strong commitment to safety, patient well-being, and community service.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g., fluid levels, tire pressure).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends, as outreach schedules require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving mobile medical clinics or other specialized outreach vehicles.
- Familiarity with Aurora and surrounding Colorado communities.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working in a healthcare or community outreach setting.
