Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Holistic Nurse Practitioner to join our Integrative Health Center in Wesley Chapel, FL. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered care that integrates conventional medical practices with a wide array of holistic and complementary therapies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wellness, preventive care, and an ability to develop personalized treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental factors influencing a patient’s health. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to foster an environment of healing, education, and empowerment for our patients. This position is central to expanding our commitment to whole-person health and innovative care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations, medical history review, and diagnostic testing interpretation, focusing on a holistic perspective.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans incorporating conventional medical treatments alongside evidence-based integrative therapies (e.g., nutrition, herbal medicine, stress management, acupuncture, mind-body practices).
- Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families on lifestyle modifications, disease prevention, and self-care strategies to promote optimal well-being.
- Collaborate with physicians, other nurse practitioners, dietitians, physical therapists, and complementary health practitioners to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and manage acute and chronic health conditions within the scope of practice and in alignment with integrative principles.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development activities to advance holistic nursing practice.
- Advocate for patients, empowering them to actively participate in their health journey and make informed decisions about their care.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Current, unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Florida.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, AGNP, WHNP).
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in integrative, holistic, or functional medicine.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Holistic Nursing (e.g., AHNCC) or Functional Medicine (e.g., IFM).
- Experience with specific integrative therapies such as medical acupuncture, botanical medicine, or clinical nutrition.
- Prior experience in a private practice, wellness center, or outpatient clinic setting focused on integrative health.
- Fluency in Spanish or other languages.
