Job Description
Are you a motivated 15-year-old looking for your first job experience? Harris Teeter in Durham, NC, is seeking enthusiastic and responsible teens to join our team as Service Associates for after-school shifts. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience, develop customer service skills, and contribute to a friendly shopping environment. As a Service Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a pleasant and efficient shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with finding products and answering basic questions.
- Help bag groceries efficiently and carefully.
- Gather shopping carts from the parking lot and ensure they are readily available for customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned areas, including aisles and checkout lanes.
- Support fellow team members with various tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all store policies and safety guidelines.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Perform light stocking and facing of shelves.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be 15 years of age and possess the necessary work permit (if applicable).
