Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Telehealth Nurse to join our growing team. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home while making a significant impact on patient lives. As a Telehealth Nurse, you will be on the front lines of virtual care, providing expert triage, health education, and support to patients across various demographics. You will utilize your clinical judgment to assess patient needs, guide them to appropriate care pathways, and ensure a seamless, positive virtual healthcare experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong clinical background, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual health assessments and triage for patients presenting with a wide range of symptoms and conditions.
- Provide professional health education and guidance to patients on self-care, medication management, and disease prevention.
- Utilize evidence-based protocols and clinical guidelines to ensure safe and effective patient care decisions.
- Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and escalate complex cases as necessary.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in telehealth and nursing.
- Provide empathetic support and reassurance to patients, ensuring a positive virtual care experience.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing, eligible for multi-state licensure (compact license preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience in an acute care, emergency room, or clinic setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and virtual communication platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong patient-centered approach.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, private workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Previous experience in telehealth, telephone triage, or remote patient monitoring.
- Certifications in specific areas such as BLS, ACLS.
- Familiarity with various telehealth technologies and virtual care delivery models.
