Job Description
Are you a student looking for a dynamic part-time role that fits your academic schedule? INTRUST Bank Arena Management is seeking enthusiastic Student Event Marshalls to join our vibrant team. In this crucial on-site role, you will be at the forefront of our event operations, ensuring the safety, comfort, and positive experience of all guests attending events at our stadium and arena. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in event management, customer service, and public safety within a fast-paced and exciting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting guests, and assisting with inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist with crowd management, directing guests to their seats, facilities, and exits efficiently and safely.
- Monitor assigned sections for any safety hazards, policy violations, or disruptive behavior, reporting issues promptly to supervisors.
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations, following established venue protocols and assisting with evacuations if necessary.
- Verify tickets and credentials at entry points and throughout the venue as needed, ensuring authorized access.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by encouraging guests to dispose of trash properly and adhere to venue rules.
- Collaborate effectively with security, medical, and other event staff to ensure seamless event operations.
Required Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and navigate stairs throughout the venue.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- A reliable, punctual, and responsible team player with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to venue policies and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or event-based roles.
- Basic knowledge of first aid or CPR certification (training may be provided).
- Enthusiasm for live sports, concerts, and entertainment events.
- Prior experience working in a stadium or arena setting.
