XPO Logistics is seeking enthusiastic and reliable High School Logistics Aides to join our team as Sorters & Pickers in New Port Richey, FL. This entry-level, part-time position is perfect for individuals looking to learn the fundamentals of supply chain operations, develop valuable work ethic, and contribute to a critical part of our logistics network. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of goods, preparing them for shipment and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort incoming and outgoing packages and materials according to established procedures.
- Efficiently pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications using appropriate equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and other vehicles, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks) after receiving proper training.
- Assist with inventory counts and quality checks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational status or issues.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned to support daily operations.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in high school or a recent high school graduate.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and picking tasks.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and tracking inventory.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
