Job Description
Join ASM Global’s dynamic team as a Student Event Usher! This is an exciting opportunity for students looking for flexible, casual work to be part of the vibrant atmosphere of live concerts, sporting events, and other major gatherings in Long Beach. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for all attendees. This position is ideal for individuals who are energetic, customer-focused, and eager to contribute to the success of world-class events.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and direct guests to their seats or appropriate event locations.
- Scan tickets and provide information about event schedules and venue facilities.
- Monitor assigned sections for safety hazards, crowd control, and adherence to venue policies.
- Assist guests with special needs, including accessibility and emergency situations.
- Resolve minor guest complaints or issues professionally and efficiently, escalating to management when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment within assigned areas.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate stairs.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Reliable and punctual with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or event-based roles.
- Familiarity with the Long Beach event venues.
- Current enrollment in a college or university program.
