Job Description

This entry-level position is designed to develop you into a certified Forklift Instructor, responsible for training new and existing employees on safe and efficient forklift operation. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a structured training program to become a certified Forklift Instructor.
- Learn and master UPS's forklift operational procedures and safety guidelines.
- Shadow experienced instructors to observe effective teaching methodologies and practical demonstrations.
- Assist in preparing training materials and conducting training sessions for new and current employees.
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback to ensure competency.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with all company and regulatory standards.
- Continuously update knowledge of industry best practices and safety regulations related to material handling.
- Promote a culture of safety and operational excellence within the workplace.
- Operate various types of forklifts and material handling equipment as part of the training and instruction process.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interest in safety, training, and logistics operations.
- Ability to learn and apply complex operational and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform other tasks associated with material handling and instruction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Basic understanding of heavy equipment operation or mechanics.
- Prior experience in a teaching or training capacity (e.g., coaching, mentoring).
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
