Job Description

Join Kaiser Permanente as an Entry-Level Pharmacy Intake Coordinator in our Glendale Medical Office. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process new and refill prescription requests, verifying patient information and insurance details.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians' offices, and insurance companies regarding prescription status and authorizations.
  • Enter patient demographics, prescription details, and insurance information into the pharmacy management system.
  • Assist patients with questions regarding their prescriptions, co-pays, and general pharmacy services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure timely and efficient prescription fulfillment.
  • Manage incoming calls and faxes, directing them to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Resolve basic patient and prescription issues, escalating complex cases to pharmacists.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, organizing, and maintaining accurate records.
