Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Data Specialist to join our dynamic and fully remote team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our payroll data systems globally. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex payroll data, supporting payroll operations, and contributing to system enhancements. You will work Monday through Friday, fully remotely, collaborating with various internal teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of payroll processes, data analysis, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate payroll data for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and global regulations.
- Perform data audits and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring data integrity across all payroll systems.
- Support the preparation and processing of bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls for multiple regions.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to troubleshoot payroll-related issues and implement effective solutions.
- Assist in the testing and implementation of payroll system upgrades and enhancements.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
- Ensure strict adherence to data privacy regulations and internal security protocols.
- Participate in year-end processing and support tax reporting requirements.
- Document payroll processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional support and respond to payroll data inquiries from employees and management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or Data Analyst with a focus on payroll.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a remote team environment.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with global payroll systems and international payroll regulations.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience working in a large, multinational organization.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and their integration with payroll.
