Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Creative Arts Director to lead and expand our impactful arts-based programs. This is a critical leadership role for an individual passionate about leveraging the creative arts to empower individuals, foster community engagement, and drive social change within a non-profit framework. The Creative Arts Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all artistic initiatives, ensuring alignment with our mission and strategic goals. You will inspire and manage a team, cultivate partnerships, and secure resources to expand the reach and depth of our creative programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive creative arts strategy aligned with the organization's mission and strategic objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of artists, educators, and program staff.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of all creative arts programs, ensuring high quality and measurable impact.
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with local artists, cultural institutions, schools, and community organizations.
  • Manage program budgets, grant proposals, and fundraising efforts specifically for arts initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings to advocate for the role of arts in social good.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines for arts programming.
  • Develop and implement robust data collection and reporting mechanisms to demonstrate program effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Proven leadership experience in managing creative or arts-based programs, preferably within a non-profit environment.
  • Strong artistic vision and a deep understanding of various art forms and their application for community engagement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a diverse team.
  • Experience in program development, project management, and budget oversight.
  • Ability to cultivate partnerships and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in grant writing and fundraising for arts initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, Fine Arts, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with underserved communities and diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with the Southern Nevada arts and non-profit landscape.
  • Certification or extensive experience in a specific artistic discipline (e.g., visual arts, performing arts, digital media).
