Job Description
Join the team at Hilton London Greenwich as a Shuttle Porter and become a vital part of our guests’ unforgettable experience. We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to provide safe and efficient transportation services, ensuring our guests feel welcomed from the moment they arrive.
As a Shuttle Porter, you will be the friendly face of our hotel, driving our guest van within the local Greenwich area. You will be responsible for transporting guests to and from local attractions, transport hubs, and other designated locations, always prioritising their comfort and safety. This role is perfect for someone with excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to service, and a desire to contribute to a world-renowned hospitality brand.
This is an on-site, full-time position where you will be an integral part of our dynamic hotel operations, directly interacting with guests and supporting the smooth running of our front-of-house services.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and courteously transport hotel guests using the company van within the local Greenwich area.
- Assist guests with luggage, ensuring secure loading and unloading.
- Maintain a clean and presentable guest van, conducting daily pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Provide guests with local area information, directions, and recommendations for attractions and services.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and hotel safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with front desk staff regarding guest pick-up and drop-off schedules.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or incidents promptly.
- Ensure a high level of customer service and guest satisfaction at all times.
Required Skills
- Full, valid UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage, often weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Greenwich and surrounding areas.
- Professional appearance and demeanour.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a driving or hospitality role.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
- First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages.
