Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Robotics Precision Verifier to join our advanced manufacturing team in Kingston upon Hull. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the precise operation and optimal performance of our robotic systems, particularly those integrated with AI-driven testing protocols. You will play a key part in the ‘Smart Working’ initiative, contributing to the development and implementation of automated verification processes. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our cutting-edge production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough verification and validation of robotic system precision and repeatability using advanced metrology tools and AI-driven testing platforms.
  • Develop and implement robust testing procedures and verification protocols for new and existing robotic applications.
  • Analyze performance data from robotic systems, identify deviations, and provide actionable insights for calibration and optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineering, AI development, and production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of 'Smart Working' methodologies by integrating AI testing insights into robotic operational workflows.
  • Maintain detailed records of verification activities, test results, and system performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards in robotic operations.
  • Provide training and support to technicians on best practices for robotic system verification and maintenance.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in robotic system operation and programming (e.g., KUKA, ABB, Fanuc)
  • Experience with metrology equipment (e.g., laser trackers, CMM, vision systems)
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in testing and quality control.
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills, with proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Python, MATLAB, R)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with industry standards for robotics safety and performance (e.g., ISO 10218)
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or advanced production environment
  • Certification in robotic programming or operation
