Job Description

This unique part-time, remote role offers a fantastic opportunity to directly influence the future of youth-oriented content and features at Snap Inc. As an Online Brand Scout and Trend Watcher, you will be on the front lines, identifying emerging trends, viral content, and changing behaviors among 15-year-old teens across various digital platforms. Your insights will directly inform our strategy, content creation, and product development, ensuring Snap Inc. remains at the forefront of youth culture. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively monitor and identify emerging trends, fads, challenges, and cultural shifts popular among 15-year-old teens on social media platforms, forums, and online communities.
  • Conduct qualitative research to understand the 'why' behind specific trends and their potential impact on teen engagement and brand perception.
  • Prepare concise, actionable reports and presentations summarizing key findings, including visual examples and data points.
  • Provide recommendations for content creation, product features, and brand messaging strategies tailored to the teen demographic.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, content, product development) to share insights and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Stay informed about competitive activities and new platform features relevant to the youth market.

Required Skills

  • A genuine passion for youth culture and a deep understanding of teen online behaviors and preferences.
  • Proficiency in navigating and analyzing content across major social media platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube).
  • Strong observational skills and the ability to identify subtle shifts in trends before they become mainstream.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings clearly and persuasively.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Basic proficiency with presentation software (e.g., Google Slides, PowerPoint).
