Job Description
Meta is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Visual Discovery Specialist with a strong focus on app and technology content. In this 100% remote role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the discoverability and quality of visual content across Meta’s diverse suite of applications and emerging technologies. You will be responsible for categorizing, tagging, and evaluating visual assets to improve search relevance, user experience, and content moderation systems. This position requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of current app and tech trends, and the ability to work independently within a dynamic, fast-paced remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately categorize and tag visual content (images, videos, AR/VR assets) related to apps and technology, ensuring high data quality.
- Evaluate visual content for relevance, quality, and adherence to platform guidelines and emerging tech standards.
- Identify trends and patterns in visual content performance and user engagement to inform product improvements.
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to provide feedback on model performance and data sets, contributing to machine learning advancements.
- Perform quality assurance on automated tagging systems and make manual corrections as needed.
- Stay updated on industry best practices for visual content management, app functionality, and technological innovations.
- Document content guidelines, workflows, and best practices for visual discovery.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in content categorization, data labeling, or visual asset management.
- Strong understanding of mobile applications, consumer technology, and digital content platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using content management systems and data entry tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field.
