Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shopify Specialist with a keen focus on automotive parts to join our growing e-commerce team in Airdrie, Alberta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Shopify-powered online store, ensuring an excellent user experience, accurate product listings, and effective digital merchandising specifically for automotive components. You will play a crucial role in driving online sales, improving site performance, and supporting our overall digital strategy for automotive parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Shopify e-commerce platform, including product listings, collections, pages, and blog posts, with a strong emphasis on automotive parts.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of product data, descriptions, images, and pricing for all automotive parts.
- Implement and optimize SEO strategies within Shopify to improve search engine rankings for automotive parts keywords.
- Monitor website performance, analyze user behavior, and identify areas for improvement in conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, inventory, customer service) to ensure consistent brand messaging and smooth operations.
- Manage inventory levels and product availability on the Shopify store, integrating with existing inventory management systems.
- Implement promotional campaigns, discounts, and bundles to drive sales of automotive parts.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, new features, and e-commerce best practices, particularly within the automotive sector.
- Provide regular reports on website performance, sales trends, and key metrics related to the online automotive parts business.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Shopify Specialist or similar e-commerce role (minimum 3 years).
- In-depth knowledge of the Shopify platform, including Liquid templating, apps, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices for e-commerce.
- Excellent data management and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics and other e-commerce analytics tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with automotive parts or in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management system integrations with Shopify.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for minor website adjustments.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp).
- Knowledge of digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, social media ads).
