Job Description

As a Netflix Compliance Reviewer, you will play a crucial role in upholding Netflix’s commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory adherence across our vast content library. You will be responsible for meticulously reviewing content, identifying potential compliance issues, and ensuring all content aligns with internal guidelines, local regulations, and global safety standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of cultural nuances, and the ability to make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of a wide range of content (films, series, documentaries, games) to ensure compliance with internal content policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and flag content that may violate safety standards, community guidelines, intellectual property rights, or local cultural sensitivities.
  • Document findings accurately and provide clear, concise feedback to content teams and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on evolving content regulations, industry best practices, and global compliance trends.
  • Collaborate with legal, policy, and content teams to resolve complex compliance issues and contribute to policy development.
  • Participate in calibration sessions and training to ensure consistency in content review decisions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all reviewed content and company information.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in content moderation, compliance review, or a related field, preferably within media or technology.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex guidelines and policies.
  • Strong ethical compass and ability to handle sensitive and potentially offensive content.
  • Proficiency with various digital tools and content management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Communications, Law, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with international content ratings systems and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies for digital content.
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to Netflix's global audience.
