Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Apple Healthcare Data Clerk with a medical focus to join our remote team. This vital role involves accurately entering, maintaining, and verifying critical patient and operational data, often utilizing Apple’s ecosystem (e.g., devices, HealthKit data standards) within our secure healthcare information systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to data integrity and patient privacy. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a leading healthcare network from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input and update patient demographic, clinical, and administrative data into various healthcare information systems.
- Verify data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other data privacy policies.
- Manage and organize electronic health records (EHRs) and other digital documents.
- Generate reports and retrieve data as requested by medical staff and department managers.
- Assist with data audits and quality control initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve data-related issues.
- Utilize and troubleshoot Apple devices and related software for data management tasks as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and company information.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with data entry and data management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance and data privacy principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certification in Health Information Technology or a related field.
- Previous experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Experience in a healthcare setting (clinic, hospital, or administrative office).
- Familiarity with Apple operating systems (iOS/macOS) and basic troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Apple HealthKit or similar health data frameworks.
