Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Banker to join our team in Southlands, Aurora, Colorado. As a Retail Banker, you will be the face of Wells Fargo, building strong relationships with our customers and helping them achieve their financial goals. This role involves a blend of customer service, sales, and operational duties, ensuring a seamless banking experience for every individual who walks through our doors. You will be responsible for providing personalized financial advice, processing transactions accurately, and identifying opportunities to introduce customers to additional Wells Fargo products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in a friendly, professional, and consultative manner to understand their financial needs.
  • Process a wide range of banking transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and cashing checks.
  • Open new accounts, explain product features, and assist customers with loan applications and other financial services.
  • Identify and refer customers to appropriate partners for more complex financial needs, such as mortgage, investment, or business banking.
  • Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Wells Fargo products, services, and digital banking solutions.
  • Actively participate in branch sales activities and contribute to achieving team goals.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, sales, or financial services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Strong sales aptitude and a proactive approach to identifying customer needs.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling transactions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous banking or cash handling experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance.
