Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Offshore Cook to join our culinary team operating in the Gulf of Mexico. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to kickstart your career in offshore catering, working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will support the Head Cook and other team members in preparing and serving delicious, nutritious meals for offshore personnel. All necessary housing during rotations in the Gulf of Mexico is provided. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior culinary staff in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals for offshore crews, following established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all kitchen areas, including food preparation surfaces, storage, and equipment.
• Support inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
• Adhere strictly to all offshore safety regulations, food safety protocols (HACCP), and company policies.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any malfunctions.
• Participate in meal service, ensuring timely delivery and professional presentation.
• Perform general kitchen duties such as washing dishes, cleaning utensils, and organizing storage areas.
• Be proactive in learning new culinary techniques and contributing positively to the team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Culinary vocational training or certificate from an accredited institution.
• Prior experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or catering setting.
• Basic offshore safety training certifications (e.g., HUET, BOSIET).
• Knowledge of various cooking methods and cuisines.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
