Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Student Logistics Aides to join our warehouse and packaging team in Virginia Beach. This part-time role is perfect for students looking to gain practical experience in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of packages, from receiving to final dispatch, contributing to our commitment to timely and accurate deliveries. This is an on-site position offering flexible hours to accommodate academic schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the unloading and loading of packages from trucks and containers.
- Sort and scan incoming and outgoing packages, ensuring proper routing and documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Prepare packages for shipment, including proper labeling and packaging according to company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the warehouse.
- Perform inventory checks and assist with stock rotation as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 pounds frequently.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry tasks.
- Must be at least 18 years old and currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or logistics setting.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment and inventory systems.
