Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Remote Facebook Group Admin to join our dynamic digital team. This critical role involves actively moderating one of our client’s key online communities, ensuring a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for all members. You will be responsible for upholding group guidelines, fostering positive discussions, and handling conflicts with tact and professionalism. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on our client’s community engagement strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and moderate all posts, comments, and member interactions within designated Facebook groups to ensure compliance with community guidelines and platform terms of service.
  • Approve or decline new member requests and pending posts efficiently and according to established criteria.
  • Engage actively with members by responding to comments, initiating discussions, and encouraging participation.
  • Identify and address inappropriate content, spam, or disruptive behavior promptly and professionally.
  • Resolve conflicts and disputes among members in a fair and unbiased manner, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive group atmosphere, acting as a friendly and helpful presence.
  • Provide regular reports on group activity, member engagement, and moderation actions taken.
  • Collaborate with the client's marketing team to align moderation efforts with broader community goals and content calendars.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with Facebook platform functionality and group management tools.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to grammar and tone.
  • Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure.
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills to handle diverse community dynamics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in French is a strong asset for our Canadian communities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Facebook Group Admin or online community moderator.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting.
  • Background in customer service or conflict resolution.
  • Experience working with brand communities or agencies.
