Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Garage Shelving Installer to join our team in Leith, Edinburgh. This role involves the assembly and installation of various garage storage solutions, including shelving units, cabinets, and wall organizers, at customer homes or commercial premises. You will be responsible for ensuring installations are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This is a manual support role requiring attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and a commitment to professional service. Weekly pay ensures a consistent income.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations within Leith and surrounding Edinburgh areas to perform installations.
  • Assemble and install garage shelving, cabinetry, and other storage systems according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
  • Measure and cut materials accurately to fit spaces, ensuring a professional finish.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to confirm project details, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after installations.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and daily activity logs accurately.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.

Required Skills

  • Basic proficiency with hand and power tools (drills, saws, levels, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar installation, construction, or handyman role.
  • Full UK driving license with a clean record.
  • Knowledge of basic carpentry or joinery.
  • Customer service experience.
