Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to earn extra cash this holiday season? UPS is seeking energetic and reliable Personal Vehicle Drivers (PVD Associates) to join our team in Ventura for immediate start. In this temporary role, you will play a critical part in ensuring timely and efficient package delivery during our busiest time of the year. Use your own vehicle to deliver packages, enjoy competitive pay, and contribute to making holiday wishes come true.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and business locations.
- Operate your personal vehicle for package delivery in accordance with UPS safety and operational guidelines.
- Load and unload packages from your personal vehicle.
- Scan packages accurately and obtain signatures when required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent UPS professionally.
- Complete all assigned deliveries within designated timeframes.
- Maintain accurate delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Provide proof of personal vehicle insurance.
- Have a reliable personal vehicle that meets specific company requirements (e.g., 4 or 6-cylinder, good condition).
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Excellent driving skills and familiarity with the Ventura area.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous delivery or driving experience is a plus.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during the peak season.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
