Job Description
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Apple Records Management specialist, with a focus on supporting federal agency clients. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and maintaining critical records, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and optimizing information lifecycle processes within an environment that may leverage Apple technologies or integrated platforms. You will work closely with agency stakeholders to develop, implement, and uphold robust records management policies and procedures, contributing directly to the integrity and accessibility of vital government information. This position requires a strong understanding of federal records management principles, an aptitude for technology, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive records management policies and procedures in accordance with federal regulations (e.g., NARA guidelines).
- Manage the full lifecycle of electronic and physical records, including creation, receipt, maintenance, use, and disposition.
- Ensure compliance with federal and agency-specific records retention schedules and legal hold requirements.
- Utilize and potentially configure records management systems, which may include platforms integrated with Apple ecosystems or devices.
- Provide expert guidance and training to federal agency staff on best practices for records creation, filing, and retrieval.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of records management practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure the secure storage and protection of sensitive information.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to records management activities and compliance status for agency leadership.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Library Science, Public Administration, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in records management, information governance, or a similar role, preferably within a federal government context
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal records management regulations, including NARA standards and OMB mandates
- Proficiency with enterprise content management (ECM) systems and records management software
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MIS, MLIS)
- Certified Records Manager (CRM) or other relevant professional certifications (e.g., IGP)
- Experience with Apple's enterprise tools or iOS/macOS device management in a secure, regulated environment
- Prior experience working directly on-site at a federal agency facility
