Job Description
Join DHL Supply Chain as a Reach Truck Specialist on our dedicated Night Shift team in Bloomington, Indiana. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operator looking for stable employment, competitive pay, and a significant sign-on bonus. You will be responsible for operating reach trucks safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials within our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. Key Responsibilities
- Operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently to load, unload, move, stack, and retrieve products and materials.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance on reach trucks and report any defects or malfunctions.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Accurately pick, put away, and stage orders in designated areas using RF scanners.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and achieve operational goals.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Proven ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Basic mathematical and reading comprehension skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Certification for additional material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, order picker).
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
