Job Description
Are you a creative individual with a keen eye for detail and a steady hand? Prairie Custom Lures is seeking a Fishing Lure Painting Assistant to join our production team in Old Strathcona. This role involves the intricate and artistic process of hand-painting fishing lures, transforming raw materials into irresistible works of art for anglers. If you enjoy precision work, have an affinity for colors, and want to be part of a company that values craftsmanship, we encourage you to apply. No prior professional experience in lure painting is required; we are looking for enthusiasm and the ability to learn and master fine motor skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply paint and protective coatings to fishing lures using various techniques (airbrush, brushwork, dipping).
- Prepare lures for painting, including cleaning and priming surfaces.
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades and patterns according to specifications.
- Perform quality checks on finished lures to ensure consistency, durability, and adherence to design standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and painting equipment.
- Assist with inventory management of paints, brushes, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly production targets.
- Learn and adapt to new painting techniques and lure designs as introduced.
