Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Senior UI/UX Designer to join our innovative team in Rock Hill, SC. As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and interface of our cutting-edge industrial software and applications. You will lead design initiatives from concept to execution, working closely with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver intuitive, engaging, and high-performing digital solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in defining design strategies, conducting user research, creating user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes, and ensuring a consistent and compelling user experience across our product portfolio. We are looking for a visionary designer who can champion user-centered design principles and elevate our product design to new heights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process for complex industrial software applications, from discovery and research to prototyping and final implementation.
- Conduct comprehensive user research, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis, to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Translate research insights into user flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to define product vision, strategy, and design specifications.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across products.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback iteratively.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of design excellence and continuous learning.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience with leading design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a proven track record of designing successful and complex digital products.
- Proficiency in user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Expertise in creating wireframes, user flows, information architecture, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Deep understanding of interaction design principles, visual design, and user-centered design methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience in designing for industrial, enterprise, or complex B2B applications.
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand technical constraints.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
- Experience working with global teams and diverse user bases.
