Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Remote Instagram Community Manager to join our growing digital team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Instagram’s platform, possess exceptional communication skills, and have a genuine passion for connecting with our community. You will be the voice of Starbucks on Instagram, engaging with followers, managing comments and direct messages, and fostering a positive and inclusive online environment. This role requires a proactive approach to community building, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to represent the Starbucks brand identity authentically.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and mentions on Starbucks' Instagram profiles in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
- Identify and escalate critical comments, customer service issues, and potential PR risks to relevant internal teams.
- Engage proactively with followers, influencers, and brand advocates to foster a sense of community and loyalty.
- Collaborate with the content creation team to provide insights and feedback based on community interactions.
- Support the execution of Instagram campaigns, contests, and promotions.
- Track and report on key community engagement metrics and sentiment.
- Stay up-to-date with Instagram trends, features, and best practices.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all interactions.
- Identify user-generated content opportunities and coordinate with legal/marketing for re-sharing permissions.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in social media management, with a strong focus on Instagram community management.
- Demonstrable understanding of Instagram's platform, algorithms, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (US English).
- Proven ability to manage and grow online communities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Sprinklr).
- Creative mindset with an understanding of brand voice and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience working for a large consumer brand or in the food & beverage industry.
- Familiarity with visual content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express).
- Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
- Experience with crisis communication on social media.
