Job Description
Are you a highly motivated individual with an excellent work ethic and a passion for efficiency? DPD is seeking a Quick Service Runner to join our fast-paced logistics team in Jesmond. This pivotal role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, ensuring the smooth flow of operations and providing essential support to our delivery drivers and warehouse staff. You will be responsible for quickly addressing immediate needs, assisting with parcel handling, and maintaining an organized workspace to keep our services running without a hitch.
Key Responsibilities
- Expeditiously retrieve and deliver parcels, equipment, and documents to various operational points within the facility.
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring accurate and secure placement of parcels.
- Support warehouse staff with sorting, scanning, and organizing packages in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work environment, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to ad-hoc requests from team leaders and drivers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Ensure all tasks are completed with a strong focus on speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
