Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized, resilient, and proactive Repossession Agency Dispatcher to join our fast-paced night shift team in Blackwood, Caerphilly. This critical role involves coordinating and managing field agent activities for asset recovery operations, primarily focusing on vehicle repossessions. The successful candidate will be responsible for real-time communication with agents, managing operational logistics, and ensuring all tasks are executed efficiently and compliantly during night hours. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-pressure environment, possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, and is comfortable with night shift work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize incoming repossession assignments during night shifts, dispatching agents efficiently.
- Maintain constant communication with field agents, providing necessary information and support.
- Monitor agent progress and adjust schedules to optimize recovery routes and timelines.
- Document all communication and activity accurately within the dispatch system.
- Respond quickly and effectively to unforeseen issues or emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and company procedures regarding asset recovery.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational discrepancies.
- Prepare daily activity reports and handovers for the next shift.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics coordination role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK, particularly Wales and surrounding regions.
- Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in asset recovery, security, or transportation dispatch.
- Knowledge of relevant legal guidelines concerning asset repossession (e.g., Consumer Credit Act).
- A strong understanding of vehicle makes and models.
- First Aid certification.
