Job Description

Right at Home is seeking dedicated Casual Caregivers in New Port Richey, FL, to provide essential in-home support to our clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and activities.
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying common areas, laundry, and dishwashing.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Assist with safe client transfers and mobility.
  • Provide medication reminders.
  • Run errands and assist with grocery shopping.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition or concerns to the supervisory team.
  • Utilize our mobile app to view available shifts, confirm schedules, and communicate with the office.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a compassionate demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow care plans accurately.
  • Proficiency with smartphone applications for scheduling and communication.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or a related field (even personal experience with family members).
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) program.
  • High school diploma or GED.
