Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Music Rights & Licensing Clerk with a strong legal focus to join our administrative team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate management and processing of music rights data, supporting our licensing activities, and maintaining compliance with relevant legal frameworks. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a foundational understanding of legal terminology, and a passion for the music industry. You will play a vital role in our daily operations, contributing to the efficient flow of information and protection of our catalog.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and review of licensing agreements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive databases of music rights, licenses, and contractual information.
  • Process incoming licensing requests, performing initial data verification and routing to appropriate departments.
  • Conduct research on copyright ownership, royalty statements, and historical licensing data.
  • Collaborate with legal and business affairs teams to resolve discrepancies and support rights clearance processes.
  • Prepare various reports and documentation related to music usage and revenue distribution.
  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence management.
