Job Description
As a Tool Rental Mystery Shopper with a technical focus, you will play a crucial role in evaluating the quality of customer service, product knowledge, and operational efficiency within our tool rental departments. This on-site role requires an keen eye for detail and a knack for understanding technical aspects of tool usage and rental processes. You will anonymously visit designated Home Depot locations, interact with associates, rent tools, and provide comprehensive feedback through detailed reports. Training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to assess our service against established benchmarks. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to improving customer experiences without needing prior experience in mystery shopping – your technical curiosity and observational skills are key!
Key Responsibilities
- Anonymously visit Home Depot Tool Rental Centers as a regular customer.
- Engage with tool rental associates, asking targeted questions about tool functionality, rental terms, safety, and availability.
- Rent a variety of tools, following all standard rental procedures, and observe the process from start to finish.
- Evaluate the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the tool rental area.
- Assess associate professionalism, product knowledge, attentiveness, and adherence to company policies.
- Provide detailed, objective, and timely reports on observations and experiences, highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the nature of the mystery shopping assignments.
- Adhere to all provided guidelines and training protocols for each assignment.
