Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team at our state-of-the-art facility in La Jolla. This pivotal leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional patient care standards, and fostering a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a proven track record in clinical nursing, staff management, and quality improvement initiatives. This position offers a significant opportunity to impact patient outcomes and staff development, complemented by a performance bonus structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily clinical operations of a designated nursing unit, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and Sharp HealthCare standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering a culture of professional growth, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor patient care plans, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.
  • Manage unit budget, resources, and staffing schedules effectively to optimize efficiency and care delivery.
  • Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and departmental leaders to ensure seamless patient transitions and interdisciplinary care.
  • Implement and evaluate quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and driving evidence-based practices.
  • Handle patient and family concerns, ensuring timely resolution and promoting patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Required Skills

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum 5 years of acute care nursing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field
  • Certification in Nursing Leadership (e.g., CNML, NE-BC)
  • Experience in Magnet-recognized facilities
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
