Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and professional Tractor Trailer Operators to join our regional route team based out of Fayetteville, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across regional lanes, ensuring timely deliveries and upholding Schneider’s high standards of service. This position focuses on regional routes, allowing for more predictable home time and a better work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently over regional routes.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
  • Transport goods securely, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and trip records.
  • Ensure timely delivery of freight while prioritizing safety.
  • Handle freight with care, preventing damage and shortages.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Represent Schneider professionally at all times.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Minimum of 12 months verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Clean MVR and driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELDs)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with regional hauling
  • HAZMAT endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
  • Tanker endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
