Job Description
Join the Ralphs team as a High School Stock Replenishment Associate! This is an excellent opportunity for high school students looking to gain valuable retail experience, develop essential work skills, and contribute to a fast-paced grocery environment. You will be responsible for ensuring our shelves are well-stocked, organized, and presentable for our customers, helping to create an efficient and pleasant shopping experience. This role requires attention to detail, a good work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming merchandise efficiently.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and freezers with new products, ensuring proper rotation and presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock or out-of-stock items to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the stockroom and sales floor.
- Assist customers with locating products and answer basic questions when needed.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and according to guidelines (with proper training).
- Break down cardboard boxes and manage recycling effectively.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment (even volunteer work).
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
