Job Description

AdventHealth Medical Group in New Port Richey is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as CNA Trainees. No prior experience is required – we are committed to investing in your future by providing comprehensive training and covering the full cost of your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. As a Trainee, you will learn the fundamentals of patient care, directly contributing to the well-being of our community while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all required training modules and certification coursework.
- Learn and practice fundamental patient care skills under direct supervision.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Help patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs as instructed by nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and patient privacy regulations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong desire to learn and commitment to a career in healthcare.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team.
- Physical ability to perform duties typical of a CNA (e.g., lifting, standing, walking).
- Reliable transportation to the clinic in New Port Richey.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer experience in a healthcare setting.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification (will be provided if not held).
