Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Boutique Hotel Manager to lead our vibrant property in Islington, London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic leader who understands the essence of boutique hospitality – delivering exceptional guest experiences, fostering a positive team culture, and driving operational excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s operations, ensuring our guests feel at home and our team is inspired. We offer a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for eligible candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction targets.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize financial performance.
- Maintain high standards of service quality and guest experience.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues efficiently and courteously.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote the hotel and drive occupancy.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure property standards are maintained.
- Represent the hotel within the local community and build strong relationships.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of hotel management experience, with at least 2 years in a boutique or lifestyle hotel setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, budgets, and financial reports effectively.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a proven track record of motivating and developing staff.
- Strong understanding of guest service principles and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, including F&B, rooms, and revenue management.
- Legally eligible to work in the UK; Certificate of Sponsorship available for eligible applicants.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Experience managing a hotel with a strong F&B component.
- Multilingual abilities, especially in a European language.
- Familiarity with the London hospitality market and local supplier networks.
- Proven experience in brand standards implementation and quality assurance.
