Job Description
Are you passionate about ensuring vehicles have crystal-clear visibility? Halfords Autocentres is seeking a dedicated Mobile Glass Degreaser to join our dynamic team in Southsea, Portsmouth. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for travelling to customer locations to provide expert glass degreasing and cleaning services for vehicle windscreens, windows, and mirrors. You’ll use specialized techniques and products to remove stubborn residues, ensuring optimal visibility and safety for drivers. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to customer homes or workplaces to perform on-site vehicle glass degreasing and cleaning services.
- Utilize specialized cleaning agents, tools, and techniques to effectively remove grease, grime, water spots, and other residues from vehicle glass surfaces.
- Inspect glass for cleanliness and clarity, ensuring a streak-free and pristine finish.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining the process and offering advice on glass care.
- Manage and maintain mobile equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for daily operations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate service records and process payments if required.
- Represent Halfords Autocentres professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Full UK driving license with a clean record.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a mobile schedule.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
- Basic understanding of vehicle care and maintenance.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, kneeling, and lifting equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in car detailing, valeting, or a similar service-oriented role.
