Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial Chemist to join our manufacturing support team in Centennial, Colorado. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, efficiency, and safety of our chemical production processes. You will be responsible for providing expert chemical analysis, troubleshooting process issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with production engineers, operators, and quality control personnel to maintain high standards and optimize manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using various analytical techniques (e.g., GC, HPLC, Spectroscopy).
  • Monitor and optimize chemical processes to improve yield, quality, and reduce waste.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex chemical and process-related issues on the manufacturing floor.
  • Develop and validate new analytical methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams on product development and process scale-up projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental (SHE) regulations and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Provide technical guidance and training to production staff.
  • Document and report all findings, analyses, and process improvements.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement corrective actions.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an industrial chemistry or manufacturing support role.
  • Proficiency in common analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation.
  • Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other continuous improvement tools.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Experience with process control systems and data analysis software.
  • Prior experience in a specialty chemicals or materials manufacturing environment.
