Job Description
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Handymen/Handywomen for high-demand IKEA wall unit mounting tasks in the Harrogate area. This role involves precise assembly and secure installation of various IKEA wall-mounted furniture, including cabinets, shelves, and storage systems, in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, a strong understanding of structural integrity, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. This is a contract-based opportunity, perfect for skilled individuals looking for flexible work and consistent demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately read and interpret IKEA assembly instructions and technical drawings for wall units.
- Safely and securely mount IKEA wall units, shelves, and cabinets to various wall types (plasterboard, brick, stud walls), ensuring stability and level positioning.
- Utilise appropriate tools and fixings for each specific mounting requirement.
- Conduct pre-installation site assessments to identify potential challenges and ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding the installation process, timelines, and any potential adjustments.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean and tidy throughout and after the installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the assembly or mounting process.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices.
- Provide a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction on every job.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in furniture assembly and wall mounting, especially with IKEA products.
- Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools relevant to handyman tasks.
- Strong understanding of different wall construction types and appropriate fixing methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Valid UK driving license and access to reliable transportation.
